This weeks blog is going to be about the summer 2020 runway fashion. In my design class, right now were learning about fashion forecasting, which is basically predicting what styles will be in trend the following year! So we’ve had to watch multiple fashion shows including Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, YSL, and a lot more! Runway fashion can be really out there at times but these are some trends that I’ve seen on runway, that can be worn off the runway and perfect for this summer.
Bright colors/Neon – This trend has been in multiple fashion shows from Gucci to Dolce and Gabbana ! This is perfect for the summer, who doesn’t want to have a nice pop of color, whether it be in a swimsuit or a statement part of the outfit. I added two pictures one to show the runway look and another fun way to style it for the summer ! body suits are really trendy and pair well with shorts, pants and skirts !!
Big sunglasses– This is a trend that faded away for awhile but has recently come back to light! Almost all of the Gucci models in the fashion show had a pair on! Some of the glasses on the run way had a mirror reflection. Reflection glasses are nice because they really block out the sun and its hard to see the persons eyes who are wearing them.
Animal Print– This is another trend that kind of faded away but is coming back! Animal print is definitely making its way back in a tasteful way like the top shown above! The runway picture is from Dolce and Gabbanas summer 2020 fashion show! A lot of there collection include animal and fun prints for both men and women!! I think the off the shoulder look in the second picture is perfect for the summer, its also a light weight and breathable material.
Khaki – I saw this trend a lot in the Dolce and Gabbana fashion show, this is one of my favorite runway looks so far! not only for women but men as well! I think these looks in the picture above are so classic and perfect for the summer! The runway look is even tasteful enough to be worn off the runway. Khaki jumpsuits and overalls are also really trendy for the summer!
vertical stripes– I saw this in the Balmain fashion show and thought this is a cute trend! Vertical stripes could be used in pants, skirts,dresses, and tops! I really like the pants from off the runway! the second picture is a more casual way to wear it! Those are all the runway looks I have for this week!
